The Responsible Investment Association Australasia’s (RIAA) Responsible Investment Certification Program concerns responsible, ethical, and impact-oriented investment products and services in Australia and New Zealand. The label was first awarded in 2004 and is aimed at financial investments.
There are three classifications of the label with various requirements: Responsible, Sustainable and Sustainable Plus.
Under the RI Certification Program, there are eight general requirements for investment products that achieve transparency and minimum exclusion criteria.
RIAA is a network of people and organizations (fund managers, banks, consultants, researchers, brokers, impact investors, property managers, trusts, foundations, religious groups, financial advisors, and individuals).
Several committees consisting of members of the RIAA decide on the results of the applications submitted.
In 2024, 339 financial products were awarded the label.
